All clients are required to complete and sign a declaration form. All your data is confidential and will not be shared with any third parties.

Whilst your pet is in my care its health & welfare are my primary concerns.

Your dog will only ever be groomed according with it’s tolerance of the process.

Occassionally during grooming a pre-existing condition may be discovered that you may not be aware of. I shall inform you of this so you can seek vetinary advice.

In the unlikely event of an accident or serious medical issue during your pet’s groom you authorise me to seek emergency vetinary treatment.


Starting prices are for pets that are used to being professionally groomed on a regular basis (preferably every 6-8 weeks depending on breed) and whose coats are well maintained between professional grooms i.e. kept tangle, knot & matt free by regular brushing/combing.

You can reasonably expect to pay more than the starting price if the coat is matted, poorly maintained or very overgrown.

Please note a service charge of between £3 to £5 is added to the starting groom cost. This will depend on the distance I have to travel to your premises.  This service charge covers fuel and van maintenance costs.


For severely matted coats where de-matting isn’t possible, the only humane way to deal with this is to completely shave off the coat.

A shavedown consumes significantly more time, labour, product & equipment wear & tear than a routine trim, and will therefore incur an extra charge.

De-matting during a routine groom will be limited to a maxiumum of 30 minutes and is only possible if the matting is minimal.

Any humane de-matting will be undertaken solely at my discretion, in compliance with the Animal Wefare Act 2006 (clause 5 – Animals are to be protected from pain, injury and suffering).

I reserve the right to refuse to groom any pet at risk of harming me or itself.

Please inform me prior to the groom if your dog has ever bitten or displayed aggression.  Failure to disclose this information may result in termination of the groom and refusal of further services.

Your attention is drawn to the Dangerous Dogs Act which holds owners liable for bites and injuries caused by their dogs.

If I am unable to complete the groom due to behavioural problems or aggression you will be charged the starting price of the groom.


Please bear in mind that my van is a large, long wheel base.

If I am unable to park at your premises please inform me when booking an appointment.

I am happy to meet you and groom your dog at a suitable nearby location (to be advised by you).

Alternatively you can bring your dog to my premises and collect later (the service charge shall be levied on these occassions).


I shall always endeavour to arrive at your premises at the arranged appointment time.  If I am delayed due to traffic etc. I shall call you en route to advise ETA.

If I arrive at your premises at the allocated time and you are not in, I shall wait no longer than 30 minutes. This will be considered a missed appointment and you may have to re-book. A missed appointment will incur a charge of 50% of the cost of the groom.

I respectfully request 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your dogs appointment so I am able to offer the slot to other clients.

I shall be sending text message reminders 24 hours before your appointment is due.

Late cancellations shall also incur a charge of 50% of your usual groom cost.
